Is Sooka free?
Yes. Posting ads and contacting sellers is free for individuals.
How do I sign up?
Tap Log in, enter your Ugandan mobile number and type the 6-digit code we send by SMS. No password needed.
How do I post an ad?
Tap Sell, choose a category, fill in the details, add photos, set your price and location. Most ads go live immediately; some are checked by our team first, usually within a few hours.
Why was my ad rejected?
Open My ads → Rejected to see the reason. Edit the ad to fix it and it will be reviewed again.
How long do ads last?
30 days. In the last 3 days you can extend your ad for free, and expired ads can be renewed from My ads.
How do I contact a seller?
Use Show phone number, WhatsApp or Chat on the ad page. Chat keeps your number private.
How do I get alerts for new ads?
Search or browse a category, add filters, then tap Save search. We'll notify you when new ads match, by SMS too if you allow it in your profile.
I think someone is trying to scam me.
Stop, don't send money, and report them with "Report this ad" or the chat menu. Read the safety centre.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile and use "Delete account". This permanently removes your account and ads.
